Sunday Service Times -
Over the past few Sunday mornings we have been looking at the “Unity” of God’s Church—an aspiration of the Lord Jesus and the consequence for believers of their core belief in Him as Saviour and Lord. Those who subscribe to this belief are automatically united with one another as brothers and sisters. Next Sunday at 6.30pm (27th May) provides an opportunity to demonstrate this unity in a tangible way as we with other Southport churches hold our next ‘One Church’ Celebration Service here at Christ Church. Please do make the effort to come particularly as we are the host church. Geoff Grice from the Community Church will be speaking.
By Paul’s words in Ephesians 4:5 “One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father” we know the importance God attaches to Christian unity and we look forward to the outworking of this among the churches of our town. Jesus’ prayer to the Father in John 17 was “that all of them may be one Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You… that the world may believe that You have sent Me”.
In our broken and dislocated world we pray, following the example of Jesus, that the Father would bring us together as one.
P.S. Don’t forget what happens at 7.30am on a Tuesday!
